Funding and Grants (E-rate Vendor)

A new modern computer lab is an envy of most urban K-12 school principals who must balance their tech aspirations with their budgets. U-COM understands that you want to provide students with innovative teaching methods using the latest technologies. We also understand that other needs are competing for your school’s budget – from employing more qualified teachers to school safety, building structure enhancement, and beyond.

E-rate is a program of federal government funding that provides telecommunication, internet access, system infrastructure, and system maintenance to K-12 schools. U-Combination Technology is proficient in the requirements, policies, and procedures for a school to receive this funding.

As an E-rate vendor, we help educate facilities on how to tap the funding that they need for the IT they require. U-Combination Technology provides E-rate services to schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

U-Combination Technology has been an E-rate vendor for the past 14 years and has a successful track record of working with schools on their E-rate projects – from planning to entire project implementation. Our success in E-rate stems from our commitment to meeting E-rate requirements. Our company is very familiar with the rules and guidelines fueling the program. Every U-COM employee is abreast with training and updates regarding any program guideline changes.

In addition to government funding, U-Combination has developed strong relationships with several reputable Equipment Leasing and Financing firms to provide the funds to make your success happen. Our experts have the ability to design a program to fit your school’s individual situation and needs.

We offer E-rate Category 1 and 2 services, including but not limited to:

  • Internet services
  • Strategic planning
  • Grant assistance (where permissible)
  • Telephones
  • Surveillance
  • Networking
  • Switching technology
  • Firewalls and content filtering
  • Distance learning
  • Desktop virtualization

In partnership with IBM, NEC, and VMware, U-Combination Technology provides a desktop virtualization solution kit for K-12 schools. We assist schools to turn legacy PCs into modern computer labs that are capable of not only streaming educational video content, but also saving labor cost by centralizing the management of computers. Furthermore, the schools can deploy IT resources on an as-needed basis, reducing the cost for underutilized PCs and excessive electricity.
